Become your light on a dark path

Can you see yourself beyond your trauma? Or is it what defines you? Does it define how you feel every day, All your thoughts, emotions?

Why is it so hard?

Well, our minds are designed at all costs to stop us from doing anything that might hurt us. So that would include things that are uncomfortable or scary, or difficult. Our brain is designed to protect us from those things. It is trying to keep us alive. To move past trauma to make a better life we are going to have to do things that are difficult and scary or uncertain. We may not be able to control the events in life, however, we can control and choose what we focus on. What they mean as well as how we are going to react. Making those decisions is controlling our life.  For example, staying in a religious cult is a decision. How we react to situations beyond our control is a decision.  Now Is it going to be EASY to change? No! it is not! However, it is your job to push yourself. It is not the smartest people who achieve success, it’s the people who procrastinate the least and make fewer excuses as they take action every day to move towards the place they long to be.

Indecision is the thief of an opportunity it means the door is still closed. Even though it may not feel like it. we do have a choice in how we will react to trauma.

Are we going to seek the help we need to move past it or are we going to stay stuck? We are powerful humans our minds have the ability to choose to move yet we fear the unknown.

I can personally tell you that this is true. My personal story is I had made the choice to fade and stop attending the Jehovah’s witness church, all the while my husband and I were facing divorce. I was devastated he was my prince charming and we were the JW forbidden love. They were sending him to bethel. we fought for our love despite what we were put through by elders. We were divorced. I was completely devastated. I did not think life could be worse. I had 3 sons and ran a childcare to support them often working 20+ hours a day. I began to spiral out of control. I had no support. I was being shunned by almost everyone of my friends. I was lonely my boys spent weekends with their father. I found myself alone, scared, angry, full of guilt. Did I make the wrong choice? I had no idea where to turn for help. At one point I went for professional help however she could not truly understand all I had been through being an elder’s daughter. Long story short I ended up pregnant…. found out a week later not only was I pregnant however he was married. MORE LIES!! 2 weeks prior to me giving birth I was disfellowshipped shunned by all my family and friends. Sisters and brothers walking by me in the grocery store making loud noises and turning and running as if I had the plague. I felt like I did. I felt even more alone and scared with a business to run and 3 sons to care for and one about to embark into this world. Now if all that was not enough my son was born on March 20th beautiful baby boy! He died on April 2nd of a blood infection.…… I wanted to die!! I thought about it …. How in the hell was I going to go on! My job was taking care of children other people’s babies!! How was I going to care for them now?  I had to make a choice! I had 3 other sons that depended on me. I was so scared, and the anxiety attacks were coming on so randomly. I felt as if I was out of control. I had truly little support. I did not know where to turn. I trusted no one. However, I still had to make a choice and take action. I was an emotional mess! My kids would go for the weekend with their father I would sit and cry and drink alone feeling like the walls were all coming in around me.

I made the choice to continue working with children. I love children. I embraced each new day at times with tears. I hired help. I found that the families that I worked with were way more supportive than any support the church had ever given me. It allowed me to give my boys a good start in life. It gave me a sense of pride.

I also took action in finding things that made me feel just a little bit better every day. I started gardening planting flowers. They just made me smile. I was still incredibly angry so I went to Good Will and would buy cassettes on self-help for anger and a variety of things to help me cope with my anxiety and my grief. As my boys grew, I got involved in fundraising for their school events. I took action! I did not want to stay stuck.  So I did not! I eventually went on to taking online courses and invested countless time and money into myself so I could be here today and help other people move past the trauma learn techniques to help control anxiety trust a higher source.

Any of you who are victims of trauma make the choice to take action using the tools and opportunities that are in front of you to help yourself!

I would have given anything to have had a guide or a course to help me understand myself, my mind, and why and how to take action that would bring me to where I am today! Happy!!  Utilize the tools right in front of you! Become your light on a dark path!!

6 types of meditation that help with anxiety

6 types of meditation that help with anxiety

Many people who practice meditation often find that it helps them change their life and find peace within themselves. Scientists even agree with this claim. It reduces stress and improves your physical wellbeing it is also a great exercise for the brain.

Focus Meditation

There are many different types of meditation which one is best? Where do I start? How quickly will I get results?  First, let us talk about a few different types of meditation. Chakra meditation, Kundalini meditation, and Zen meditation, all are types of focus meditation. This helps with focusing skills. With this type of meditation, you focus all your attention on one single point. Your breath, a flame some focus on a bell.  Focus meditation seems simple however can be challenging for beginners. If your mind wanders during your session gently guide it back to the focus point. With each session, you will improve your focus skills.

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness meditation is another type of meditation. Find a place where you will not be distracted. You may want to set some type of timer otherwise you may find your mind wandering as to how long should you or have you been meditating.  Take a seat and focus on your breath and when your attention wanders return it. Follow your breath focus on it as it goes out and as it goes in. When your mind wanders return it to your breath. Draw your attention to the physical sensation of your breathing the air moving through your mouth or nose, your belly rising and falling. That is it! That is a mindfulness meditation practice. It is often referred to as simple however not necessarily easy! The work is to just keep doing it. Results will come.

Dr. Elizabeth Hoge, a psychiatrist at the center for anxiety and traumatic stress disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital and an assistant professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, says that mindfulness meditation makes perfect sense for treating anxiety. “People with anxiety have a problem dealing with distracting thoughts that have too much power,” she explains. “They can’t distinguish between a problem-solving thought and a nagging worry that has no benefit.”

“If you have unproductive worries,” says Dr. Hoge, you can train yourself to experience those thoughts completely differently. “You might think ‘I’m late, I might lose my job if I don’t get there on time, and it will be a disaster!’ Mindfulness teaches you to recognize, ‘Oh, there’s that thought again. I have been here before. But it’s just that—a thought, and not a part of my core self,’” says Dr. Hoge.

One of her studies found that a mindfulness-based stress reduction program helped quell anxiety symptoms in people with generalized anxiety disorder, a condition marked by hard-to-control worries, poor sleep, and irritability. People in the control group—who also improved, but not as much as those in the meditation group—were taught general stress management techniques. All the participants received similar amounts of time, attention, and group interaction.

Mantra Meditation

Another type of meditation is Mantra meditation. Mantra meditation has become increasingly more popular over the years. This practice consists of chanting mantras (A repetitive sound or phrase or word) and meditating it has a different purpose for each person. It can be chanted loudly or repeated quietly. Whichever you prefer. You can pick one phrase or sentence to focus your attention on and repeat it many times to shift your energies and anxieties. Mantra meditation requires consistent practice. It is simple and can bring about desired positive changes in your life. It is typically practiced in a seated position with your eyes closed, however can be practiced anytime, or place you feel comfortable doing so. Chanting a mantra is a great way to develop your focus and a strong sense of awareness.

Spiritual Meditation

For this type of meditation, it must be quiet so you can succumb to the silence around you. In your mind formulate a question or a prayer, be still and listen for the answer to come within. Not only is this type of meditation relaxing it can also be very insightful.

Movement meditation

Do you have trouble sitting still? Are you more action-oriented? Movement meditation pulls your focus away from an external sound or thought. Your focus is on your body and you become more aware of each breath and muscle. This for some can calm anxiety by shifting your thoughts into movements. Yoga is the most well-known movement meditation. Another One is called Empatharian. It focuses on peacebuilding. You can also try tai chi or gentle walking or other gentle movements to clear your mind.

Guided meditation

Guided meditation is where you are guided by a narrator or teacher on a journey to bring about a specific outcome. Such as relief of stress or anxieties. You are first guided through a relaxation process for your mind and body to reach a meditative state. Then the journey begins with a specific goal in mind for the outcome. The brain does not distinguish between an imagined event and a real one the experience you have with a guided meditation is just like having a real experience. This has an amazing effect on your life due to the way the brain works. I have found this to be the most effective way for me to meditate. It has helped me in my Religious trauma recovery with anxiety and we will talk about how meditation can help you as well.

Ways to assist you in changing your morning mindset to prevent anxiety.

Ways to assist you in changing your morning mindset to prevent anxiety.

Do any of you ever wake up and you remember all the stuff you must do, and you just want to hide under the covers and not come out? That feeling is all too well known for many of us but thankfully you do not have to ever feel this way. It is a choice.

Did you know that our thoughts create our emotions? Since we have total control over our thoughts (I know it might not feel like it sometimes), you also have the power to start your day on a super positive note each and every day. I am going to share with you some ways to help you get in the right mindset to help you shift into a more positive attitude that will shift your entire day.

Thoughts create emotions. Happy thoughts create happy emotions. It is super simple but it is so true – think about the things you love to do that make you happy. Just visualizing doing something that makes you happy is bound to make you actually feel happier in return. It can be as simple as visualizing your children laughing or petting your four-legged friend. Anything that makes you feel happy!

Gratitude is one of the most important practices. It is easy to get caught in the cycle of negative thinking and eventually forgetting how good you actually have it.  It is a great morning practice to spend some time listing 5 things you are grateful for. You may want to start a morning journal it shifts your whole mindset, and your day becomes so much brighter. I personally Journal 5 things every morning.

Example of 5 things to be grateful for:

I am grateful for the sun shining through my window warming me as I read my morning affirmations.

I am grateful for Sitting in the quiet drinking my coffee with my sweet 4-legged friends.

I am grateful for the ability to be able to reflect on the positive things in my life.

I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with my mom and show her unconditional love during the death of her sister this week. (not such an easy one)

I am grateful for the air that I am able to breathe so freely and my health.

It can be remarkably simple things and often they shift your entire day into one filled with happiness. So I highly recommend you get a journal one that is appealing to you, makes you smile. Mine has flowers and says she believed she could, so she did. It makes me smile and starts my day in the right direction.

Another thing that helps shift your mind is meditation.

Making meditation a part of your routine can be a real life-changer! Not only will you feel more peaceful and centered, but you will also feel more in tune with your body and your surroundings. Do not worry if you are not a seasoned meditator. Meditation is not just sitting cross-legged humming “Ommmm” – you can do so much more, including dance meditation, mindfulness techniques, hypnosis, Affirmations. I love youtube for this. There are lots of ways to bring meditation into your life. Explore it. Do what makes you feel happy!

Ask yourself “How can I make this day amazing?”

It is a simple question, but it is so powerful. By simply asking yourself “How can I make today amazing?” you make yourself realize that you are in control of how your day goes and how you feel about it. Then, do things to make it amazing!

You could write them in your journal, or you could just recite them as you get ready for work or drive to work or while you are going for your morning jog.

We must realize we are in control of how and what we think this helps release unwanted anxieties from creeping in. I also encourage you to do any of these things if you just find yourself having a bad day. Just start looking for simple things to be grateful for. It will help shift your mindset to a more positive one. The things we think about come about.

How do you manifest or create a happy positive life

How do you manifest or create a happy positive life?

5 tips or ways that can help you manifest or create your best life one that makes you feel joyful and positive.

  • You need to get yourself out of a negative mindset, you need to think positive thoughts. When you think a thought a positive or negative thought, alike thought will rush in to join it so when we intentionally set ourselves up to find positive thoughts more positive thoughts join and our energy becomes much more positive. Even if at first our positive thoughts feel forced.

Instead of feeling or thinking in a doubtful mindset like oh I do not know if that would work for me?  Try this thought. What if it does work? What if I were to become that happy person?  What if I could make true friendships? What if I let go of the anger and felt happiness? What if I am intuitive? What if I can release anxiety and trauma.

  • Visualize your goals or dreams falling INTO place it will help you feel strong and powerful as well as optimistic. Throughout your day when you find yourself waiting inline or in a dr. office or in traffic instead of feeling frustrated at this wasted time use it constructively for visualizing or enjoying a daydream. Be sure you feel good when you visualize your dreams your feelings are particularly important. An example If you want new friendships visualize yourself talking on the phone and laughing, or out shopping or doing something you enjoy together laughing feeling happy secure. Your emotions play a big role in attracting your ideal life.
  • Choose some affirmations to write or read or repeat every day. Choose a topic you wish to improve upon. Then create your own positive affirmations to repeat each day. Feel the power of your words know it is true for you, believe in yourself. I have a little Journal I write affirmations in every day sometimes more than once a day. Some of these would include affirmations like…I am valuable, I allow my vision of my future to be as big as I can dream. I believe my goals in life are possible. I am attracting my ideal clients daily. My retreat center is within reach. These are just some examples of what I use for me and my life. Be creative this is your life and your dreams you can achieve anything you set your mind to. This is just a tool and will help you have the right mindset.
  • Create a vision board, or if you are computer savvy create a slide show on your computer. Look at it daily. Use this along with your visualization session if you wish. As you go about your day feel that you are already a part of these things that you desire. If you are trying to move past anger place a picture of yourself feeling happy like maybe when you got your first car and remember those feelings and know that you can feel it again. Visualize those feelings you once had close your eyes for a moment and visualize yourself today feeling that happy feeling.
  • Be Grateful! Be grateful for all that you have and for all that you are. Be grateful for the roof over your head, the bed you sleep in, your mate your children, your health, the song you are listening to. If you want something more in your life you must show gratitude for what you have in your life now. Become a person with an attitude for gratitude.

Meditation and who can benefit from it

What is meditation?

According to Wikipedia meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique such as mindfulness or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity. To train attention and awareness and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. It is also known as a way to engage in a mental exercise. This would-be placing one’s attention on one breathing giving full attention and concentration.

Meditation has been used in many religious traditions for many centuries such as Hinduism and Buddhism. Since the 19th century, meditative techniques have spread in a variety of ways throughout cultures. Where they have been used in a non-spiritual context. Such as health and wellness as well as business.

Have you ever wondered “Why meditate”? Let us explore the benefits of meditation and look at some of the practical ways in which meditation can improve your quality of life.

“Your mind is at work all day, every day. Every decision you make, every challenge that you face, every moment you go through in life, your mind is your constant companion, it can be your best friend or your worst enemy.”

Christopher Lloyd Clarke

In the modern world, meditation has become one of the most popular ways for people to relax, de-stress, advance their spirituality and enhance their quality of life. More and more people are beginning to realize that one’s quality of life depends greatly on one’s quality of mind. This increase in popularity is due to a huge amount of research and scientific exploration that has been conducted as to the benefits of meditation. Let’s get to know more about what It’s like to meditate, and how meditation can help you in your own life in dealing with anxiety.

What happens when you meditate?

When you practice meditation, your heart rate, and your breathing gradually slow down. Your blood pressure normalizes, and the function of your immune system improves. Meditation also causes your adrenal glands to produce less cortisol, one of the main hormones responsible for aging. As you meditate, your mind becomes clearer and clearer. You feel less burdened by mental chatter, and troubling emotions gradually melt away. Feelings of stress and anxiety are greatly reduced. Your body relaxes as well as your mind allowing the stress and worry to fade.

The inner calm that meditation provides also leads to a more positive outlook, increased perception, and creativity. Meditation helps to alleviate stress and anxiety, as well as helping with sleep patterns. With consistent practice, these positive effects continue to increase as does the quality of one’s life.

Why meditate?

People who meditate regularly find they have positive changes in their lives. What if you have never experienced meditation before?

Why Meditate? What kinds of benefits can meditation offer to someone with anxiety and how can it help in our everyday lives?

Some examples are:

  • Businesspeople, office workers to CEOs use meditation to help them keep their cool under pressure and help them make clear well-formed decisions. When one feels cool under pressure they have less anxiety.
  • Parents: Meditation offers parents relief from the pressure of everyday living, and all the responsibilities that come with raising a family. Such as Anxieties of responsibilities. Many parents find their time spent in meditation very precious “me” time. Quiet time that you give yourself to relax and reflect.
  • Students: Students can greatly benefit from meditation. Meditation helps by enhancing their intelligence, dramatically improving memory, and increasing their ability to grasp new information.
Spirituality: Spiritual people use meditation to get in touch with their inner self, to overcome the limiting perspective of their ego, and experience a deeper connection with source or God.
  • Relationships: Meditation helps one relax and become more emotionally balanced. Anyone can benefit from meditation. With a calm mind and an open-heart, conflicts are resolved more easily, and love is exchanged more readily, and more deeply.

Meditation can help anyone no matter who you are or what you do. Meditation improves your health, increases performance. It increases your quality of life.

Emotional freedom technique sample session Reclaiming your power

Emotional freedom technique sample session Reclaiming your power

The emotional Freedom Technique or often referred to as tapping is based on Chinese medicine. For thousands of years, Chinese medicine has taught that there is a flow of energy along pathways through your body called meridians. When this energy is flowing correctly, we experience our natural state of health and wellbeing. When this energy is stuck or disturbed in some way, we experience emotional discomfort, Such as fear, physical Illness, sometimes disease. When you stimulate these meridian points, it can balance them out. With acupuncture, they stimulate the meridian points with needles with tapping we use our fingers. There is also research showing that it greatly reduces levels of cortisol/ Cortisol is the stress hormone that gets released from the brain when we are in a place of fear it is a good thing to clear that out. All kinds of uncomfortable things can happen within the body when cortisol is released into the body and is not dealt with. Tapping helps clear it out so we can feel good again.

So to sum it up EFT is a method in which you tap on specific points on your body while talking about an issue of choice. You may say it is a way of creating endorphins or pleasure chemicals in your body’s energy system.

Refer to the picture for tapping points.

When you tap you create a state of wellbeing in your body and mind and your issues are most often reduced or completely go away.

So first let us rate on a scale of 1 to 10 how you feel about this issue of reclaiming your power?

10 being the most intense.

As we do a little sample here you may feel silly at first. Most people do Just hang in there and keep on tapping it will become more comfortable the more you do it.

Also if it brings up emotions let them flow and release energy. If tears come let them flow let that energy release from your body. Stagnant energies within our bodies create sickness, pain, as well as other yucky stuff we need to release.

I also must disclose to you I am not a licensed therapist to treat. If or when other things come up for you, you take full responsibility for your own wellbeing if you choose to tap.  I will not know that you need help. Please seek any professional help you may need.

Our topic today is I choose to reclaim my power.

Let us begin by starting with setting up and to do that we start tapping on the side of your hand called the carroty chop Just like this.

Collar bone:  To create the life I genuinely want Repeat after me as you tap on your hand just follow along best you can. It is especially important to complete this entire process even if it becomes emotionally difficult. If you feel tears let them flow and keep moving through the process. You will do amazing. Let us begin.

I choose to reclaim my power. I choose to deeply and completely love and honor and accept myself. I choose to reclaim my power. I choose to love and honor myself. I choose to reclaim my power. The power to live my life the way I choose the power to reclaim my feelings. The power to be who I wish to be. I choose to reclaim my power. I choose to deeply and completely love honor and accept myself, and maybe anyone I thought who may have taken my power away because this would be an amazing way to reclaim my power.

Now move to above the eye gently tapping in a quick motion continuing as you move through these next steps tapping in the same manner on each of these locations.

Above eye: I choose to reclaim my power

Side of eye:  I choose to reclaim my power

Under eye:  I may have given it away in the past.

Under nose: Now I am reclaiming my power.

Chin: It is mine to use

Underarm: I may have feelings of doubt than I can reclaim my power.

Top of head: it feels really hard.

Above eye: other people seem so much more powerful.

Side of eye: It really feels like they have power over me.

Under eye: I may really believe that they have power over me.

Under nose: There may have been situations where they did have power over me.

Chin: situations in my past.

Collar bone: There may be other situations where others have power over me, legal situations.

Underarm: but they do not have all the power.

Top of head: I have the power to choose my own attitude.

Above eye: and that is an amazing power.

Side of eye: I choose to use this power for good rather than evil.

Under eye: I am reclaiming my power.

Under nose: There have been times when I have given it away.

Chin: Not because I am a bad or stupid or weak person

Collar bone: because I was taught to give it away.

Underarm: part of me thought it was safer to give it away.

Top of head: I love and appreciate that part of me that was trying to take care of me.

Above eye: and now I am choosing to look at the situation.

Side of eye: and see that I can reclaim my power.

Under eye: It is my power.

Under nose: I can handle claiming my power.

Chin: I am allowing myself to feel confident about reclaiming my power

Collar bone: Feeling more and more powerful in every fiber of my being.

Underarm:  Allowing myself to truly reclaim my power.

Top of head: in body mind and spirit

Take a deep breath Release it.

If you are still feeling the need you can do this several more times. Often it does take multiple rounds to clear things.

EFT works on many different types of stress-related topics to reduce the anxieties in a specific area.

6 ways Source Energy Therapy helps with anxiety?

6 ways Source Energy Therapy helps with anxiety?

source energy the

Source energy therapy is not just one modality. While Reiki is primarily the one that I speak of, Reiki is a great source for helping with anxiety there are many other techniques that are also great resources in helping with anxiety. Such as the Emotional freedom technique or commonly known as EFT. In source energy therapy the important thing is to call in our higher selves and our guides, higher source (God) to guide us as we are only the conduit for such things as Reiki. They can guide us intuitively to know where energy is needed. Each one of us is made of different and extremely specific to us experiences in life being them physical or mental or emotional, we all react or resonate to different modalities in different ways. With source energy therapy we strive to find the one that most fits you personally as well as your experiences to help you heal and restore your pure essence of love and joy as quickly and effectively as possible.

What is anxiety?

Anxiety is often a normal and healthy emotion. Anxiety can lead to excessive worry, fear apprehension, as well as nervousness. This can become extremely severe so much so that it creates a disturbance in everyday life cycles.  Anxiety can cause disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorders or panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder. Symptoms include stress that is out of proportion to the shock of the experience. Not able to set aside worry and agitation, nervousness, uneasiness. Unable to concentrate, Fatigue. Feelings of fear or panic to the extreme of avoiding things or places you may have once enjoyed. Anxiety can be a symptom of an underlying disease or disorder of many types. Many people are not aware of this. One example would be Menopause. Many women who are going through that very delicate time in one’s life where their bodies are undergoing big changes do not realize that anxiety is one of the symptoms that if you are aware can be easily and effectively treated.

What triggers anxiety?

A variety of events can trigger anxiety. It can also be triggered by a series of smaller events. Some examples of that might be: Death of a loved one or a friend. Ongoing financial stress. Certain personality types are prone to anxiety disorders. I personally have Hereditary Angioedema or also referred to as HAE. One of the symptoms of this is anxiety. I have learned to be aware of my body and the subtle symptoms it gives me allowing me to take action to alleviate or reduce the stress that causes or triggers the symptoms. This did not happen overnight it has been a lifelong lesson in learning to pay attention to my body when it is giving me subtle hints, so I do not end up in a full-blown attack of HAE. A full-blown attack is different for each individual just as the cause of symptoms is unique to us.  Be this HAE or an anxiety attack each is unique as are the ways one chooses to address it.  It is especially important to take action steps and discover what it is that triggers your anxiety. By doing this you may be able to take action steps to prevent it from taking over or from having full-blown disabling panic attacks.

How can source energy therapy help with anxiety?

Reiki is one of the modalities we use in source energy therapy to assist clients who suffer from anxiety disorders. Reiki is a universal energy that has its own consciousness following universal laws. What this means is when you apply Reiki, the higher vibrational frequency of the Reiki energy will flow in and transmute the lower frequency. Things such as an illness that are considered a lower frequency.

http://sourceenergytherapy.com/blog/uncategorized/what-is-reiki/  Anxiety is considered a disorder and can be severe enough that it affects ones breathing. Reiki helps you relax and eases tension within one’s body to allow the anxieties to dissipate.  Another way is by using

EFT or emotional freedom technique. This process interrupts the negatively based pathway connections within the brain, or you may think of it as a negative thought pattern within the brain.  EFT interrupts this process. It sends a signal to the brain to react calmly rather than in fear. It is a fairly simple process of using tapping points on your body as you use positive affirmations. Again this interrupts the process of negatively based neural connections.

Breathing exercises are another way to help anxiety. When one breathes deeply it helps the body lower stress. It sends messages to the brain that are calm and relaxing in nature. Inhale and exhale slowly.

Guided Meditation is another way to send messages to the brain to help calm anxiety and interrupt the negatively based neural connections in the brain. Many guided meditations have very relaxing side effects that calm’s one’s entire body helping one to recenter and breathe in a calm manner relieving anxieties rather quickly.

Exercise is another way to help with anxiety. Daily exercise releases endorphins in one’s body that help maintain our overall health. It is a great way to prevent anxiety from creeping in unexpectedly.

Seek guidance: You may want to talk with someone who has experience with anxiety that can help you in identifying your triggers or help you decide if your circumstances may be out of your control and you may need to seek professional medical assistance if your particular anxiety is brought on by a disease or disorder. While all these techniques work wonders in most cases if your body is under physical stress that may need to be addressed in unison with the use of the techniques for optimum results.

While using any of these modalities it is important to go within and check-in with one’s higher self to be sure it resonates with you and the outcome you are looking for. That can be done in many ways. Source energy therapy can guide you along the path if you so choose.

Reiki and an energy exchange

Reiki and an energy exchange

Is it ethical to give Reiki without the exchange of energy or money?

As spiritual professionals know it is important to complete the energy circuits. That is what is meant by energy exchange. When one receives something of value and gives something in return. There are many ways one can do this within their reiki practice.

Money is a form of energy exchange

Money is a form of an energy exchange. Money can be an evil or blessed form of energy exchange depending upon the intentions of the giving as well as receiving it. Many things can be misused in this same way as money such as love. When one misuses their intention with love it can be harmful as well as money. For one to assume another’s intentions behind using money as a form of energy exchange may be a form of judgment, so let’s open ourselves up to listening to our own highest good and guides. Go within and ask what you are guided to do to receive and give as an energy exchange in this 3d space?

Things to take into consideration when determining what is best for you when it comes to an energy exchange?

This may be a very personal question no two may agree on. There are many valid opinions as well as ideas on this matter. Be sure you are checking in with your higher self frequently when determining what best suits you today. We are living in a fast-paced changing world.

As an energy healer one gives much more than just the healing session such as Reiki. A practitioner also has an energy exchange for the space they provide to be able to perform the session you will receive in an ethical manner with proper privacy. This most often also requires electricity for heat to keep you comfortable and lights. There is also an exchange of personal time and energy the practitioner must exude. They also use personal time and energy to create a vibration within the physical space by bringing in crystals and possibly oils as well as music that creates the personal essence their higher selves guide in doing.

All of this varies from one practitioner to another. Some may open their homes to be able to serve you. A practitioner may also use their personal time to energetically cleanse the area they use before and after each session ensuring it is ready for you to receive the best possible experience.

All of what I have said varies from one practitioner to another as well as the needs of each client and the type of energy exchange.

Forms of energy exchange

Energy healing is pure energy from source. We as practitioners often have an innate sense of intuition. Optimally we give our healings with an unconditional love beyond an exchange, however, practitioners also have responsibilities within this 3D world to be able to assist others with energy healing. I have personally done trading as a means of energy exchange. This could be for things such as accounting or coaching or healing for healing from another practitioner of a different modality. There are endless things one could trade for that will create an unconditional exchange of energy. However, you as a practitioner choose to complete the circuit always do it with everyone involved highest and best at heart full of love. The universe will take care of the rest.

How do you manifest or create the life you want?

How do you manifest or create the life you want?

I am going to give you 5 tips or ways that can help you manifest or create your best life one that makes you feel joyful and positive.

  • You need to get yourself out of a negative mindset, you need to think positive thoughts. When you think a thought a positive or a negative thought alike thought will rush in to join it so when we intentionally set ourselves up to find positive thoughts more positive thoughts join and our energy becomes much more positive.

  • Visualize your goals or dreams falling INTO place it will help you feel strong and powerful as well as optimistic throughout your day. When you find yourself waiting inline or in a dr. office or in traffic instead of feeling frustrated at this wasted time use it constructively for visualizing or enjoying a daydream. Be sure you feel good when you visualize your dreams your feelings are particularly important. An example If you want new friendships visualize yourself talking on the phone and laughing, or out shopping or doing something you enjoy together laughing feeling happy secure.
  • Call upon your spirit guides and source energy to guide you in living your best life. Use Reiki to help ease your stress and any anxieties that may come up.
  • Choose some affirmations to write or read or repeat every day. Choose a topic you wish to improve upon creating your own positive affirmations to repeat each day. Feel the power of your words know it is true for you, believe in yourself. I have a little Journal I write affirmations every day sometimes more than once a day. Some of these would include affirmations like…I am valuable, I allow my vision of my future to be as big as I want. I believe my goals in life are possible. I am attracting my ideal clients daily. These are just some examples of what I use for me and my life. Be creative this is your life and your dreams you can achieve anything you set your mind to. This is just a tool and will help you have the right mind set.
  • Create a vision board, or if you are computer savvy create a slide show on your computer. Look at it daily. Use this along with your visualization session if you wish. As you go about your day feel that you are already a part of these things that you desire. If you are trying to move past anger place a picture of yourself feeling happy like maybe when you got your first car and remember those feelings and know that you can feel them again.

Networking with a Reiki circle

What is a reiki circle?

A Reiki circle is also known as a reiki share by some Reiki practitioners. At a reiki circle or share practitioners of all levels and types of reiki may be included to join to do just that share reiki. They give and receive reiki freely to one another. They bring in their positive energies and join them together to create a positive healing and Collective consciousness environment to share source energy.  Generally, there is no cost or low cost maybe donations typically to cover expenses of the space.

Reiki circles are also known to be of great value to one that may be suffering from trauma, grief or anxiety, or various other things. When they come together collectively focusing on one goal the results are often astounding.

There are no set rules or laws for holding a reiki circle. I have encouraged the practitioners I have invited to mine to bring someone who is not familiar with reiki and its powerful energies. This is an opportunity for them to learn and see firsthand how it works and it opens networking opportunities through them having an amazing experience.

Another addition to this could be inviting people to come in virtually, through zoom or skype using distance Reiki.

A sample format for a Reiki circle

  • Decide on a space that will be appropriate for your event. You will need room for a minimum of one massage table. I have had up to 4 tables at an event. Space enough for seating. I prefer to seat the practitioners in a circle however it is not a must.
  • You may choose an outdoor space so long as weather is permitting
  • You will need to pick a date to hold your event.
  • Personally, I like to have a written agenda to help keep things moving smoothly. (example. begin at 9:00 am with a grounding meditation, Introductions, etc.) You do not have to follow it, use it as a guideline, and have fun.
  • Choose your time frame. The agenda helps know how much time you will need for space so you can pick your hours.
  • Guestlist,
  • You can choose many ways to get the word out. Facebook, text messages, phone calls. Twitter
  • Ask for RSVP as well as if they will be joining physically or virtually
  • Select a music list. I often choose Reiki music from Youtube, they have a great variety.
  • Be sure and have a timer at the event so you can keep the time, so each person has an opportunity to receive reiki.
  • You can send a special invitation to someone inviting them to bring singing bowls or drums. Then add that into your invitation as a special guest.
  • I have also had someone who led us in a chakra toning exercise that was an amazing experience of how all of us who do not practice came together with beautiful tones.
  • Decide if you would like to offer refreshments, Such as lemon water, fruit, nuts, cookies, tea.

The important thing here is to check in with your inner guidance on what feels right for you and make it a joyful experience for all this makes follow-up connections possible later and when we have a great experience we as humans innately talk about it and connect. networking at its finest.
